Michele is a soprano who received her Bachelor of Music degree from Wayne State University and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Toledo, studying with Barbara Rondelli-Perry. She has also earned a Master in Education from Marygrove College, including Teaching Certification in Music K-12 and Elementary Education K-5.
Past performances include Knoxville: Summer of 1915, with The University of Toledo Symphony, and highlights from Der Rosenkavalier as Sophie, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, and Lakme. She has been featured as the soprano soloist in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and the Messiah.
Two important career highlights were her performances with I Solisti Cantori in England, Scotland & Wales in a Viva Verdi celebration singing Gilda and Oscar and performing in the opera houses of Rome, Cosenza, Lucca & Lecce; and debuting as the Koenigin der Nacht in Die Zauberfloete with the Rome Festival in Italy. In May of 2008, she once again sang the Queen of the Night with the Arbor Opera Theater in conjunction with Marygrove College. Currently, she has been a guest soloist with symphonies and orchestras-most recently with the Motor City Brass Band singing Glitter and Be Gay and other operatic arias. Michele also has been a guest clinician for master classes at universities and has been a finalist in prestigious vocal competitions. She is currently a featured soloist of the internationally award winning Detroit Concert Choir. Singing back up vocals for the Kimmie Horne Show, Michele performed at the prestigious Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas with the group several times last fall. Michele is also an adjunct Professor of Voice at Macomb Community College. She resides in the metropolitan Detroit area where she remains a freelance soloist.
